Melody Sanchez Wolfe

Melody Sanchez Wolfe: I am an artist and mother of two, and I consider myself to be a wedding artist. I am a native of the island of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. My family — the Varelas — were one of the five founding families on the Island, and we go back five generations. My mother Dulce Wolfe Fields was a wedding coordinator for more than 25 years and originally called her business Sweet Decorations, later naming it Dulce Wolfe Weddings and Events. I inherited many of her talents including creating beautiful floral arrangements with local tropical flowers. When my mom decided to retire from the wedding business and move to Georgia with her new husband, I was left with the option to follow in her footsteps and start my own wedding business. Honoring her name Dulce Belize Weddings was created in 2015, and I have since grown my love and passion for working in the wedding industry. My clients are always surprised at how smooth it is to plan their destination wedding in Belize. We provide our clients with easy forms that make choosing wedding vendors, music, rentals and flowers simple and painless. I will often do a video call and a live walkthrough of the wedding venue with my clients. Sometimes I look silly walking through a resort talking to my phone, but my goal when planning a wedding is to make my clients as comfortable and happy with all of the details that go into their Belize wedding. I want them to come to Belize with a good idea of what to expect on their wedding day.
